Mail and tray preparation is a key part of properly preparing a manifest-ready mailing. Upon initial implementation of the AutoMail® application an installation specialist will train applicable personnel on the simple process of mail preparation and quality control procedures. Below is a list of typical items, in addition to the mailpieces themselves, needed for preparing a manifest mailing.
Items needed for manifest preparation:
| • | Manifest Reports = AutoMail® will generate all necessary reports for preparation of a manifest mailing. The Floating Batch Manifest will outline which mailpieces reside in which trays. |

| • | Trays = 2' EMM trays and 1' MM trays. These can be obtained from your local post office. |
| • | Sleeves = 1' and 2' cardboard sleeves for trays. These can be obtained from your local post office. |
| • | Strapping = Used for securing trays, strapping can be purchased directly through AutoMail, LLC. Go to www.AutoMailllc.com and select the TRAY TAG ORDER link on the right-hand side of the page. Comes in 1,000' rolls. |
| • | Tray-Tags = Used for identifying each tray, tray-tags can be purchased directly through AutoMail, LLC. Go to www.AutoMailllc.com and select the TRAY TAG ORDER link on the right-hand side of the page. 400 sheets with ten tray tags on each sheet. AutoMail® will generate the needed tray-tags per mailing. |
