CASS Early Warning System is a USPS provided table of addresses which are NOT inclusive in the standard-issue, bi-monthly, CASS update which AutoMail® customers already receive. The optional use of this file allows MapInfo to stay CASS-compliant. Any address found in the CASS Early Warning System file, when processing a Batch in AutoMail®, are automatically marked as unmatched.
The CASS Early Warning System file includes addresses that will be added to the bi-monthly CASS update DVD in the coming months. Examples of this would be... housing developments, new construction, 911 addressing changes, etc.. CASS Early Warning System ensures that addresses not on the USPS master file will not be eliminated or coded inaccurately. The USPS updates their CASS Early Warning System file weekly.
